Admission Information
UNDER GRADUATE: B.TECH :
The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10+2) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
Admissions to the College are made along with the other Engineering Colleges in the State through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
POST GRADUATE: M.TECH :
The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the M.Tech course is a pass in the B.Tech. / B.E. conducted by any University or any other examination recognized as equivalent.
Admission Procedure:
B.TECH PROGRAMMES (FOUR YEAR COURSES) :
- 70% of the seats are allotted by the Convener, based on merit in the EAMCET (A-Category).
- 30% of the seats are earmarked for NRI/Management candidates (B-Category).
- Admissions for Category – A seats are conducted by the Convener, EAMCET Admissions through web counseling based on the EAMCET rank of the candidates and the rules of reservation for admission into professional colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
- B- Category seats are filled by the Management of the college following the guidelines stipulated by APSCHE, Vijayawada.
- Candidates who have passed two year Intermediate Examination conducted by Board of Intermediate Education or its equivalent with not less than 45% of marks in the prescribed group subjects i.e. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (40% in case of BC/SC/ST candidates) are eligible for admission. However, the order of priority for selection of candidates for admission is the rank in JEE (Mains), rank in EAMCET, marks in the prescribed group subjects in the qualifying examination.
B.TECH PROGRAMMES (THREE YEAR COURSE FOR DIPLOMA HOLDERS) :
- In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted into second year of B. Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on merit in the ECET, under lateral entry scheme.
- There are no B – Category (Management Quota) Seats for lateral entry into II Year B.Tech.
M.TECH ADMISSION PATTERN :
- Production engineering (PE): B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical branch of engineering with valid GATE score or eligibility at PGECET.
- VLSI Embedded systems: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering with valid Gate score or eligibility at PGECET.
